【體路專訊】「港九區D2中學校際游泳比賽」決賽日周四(17日)於維多利亞公園游泳池上演,去年在港島區D3稱王封后的弘立書院延續強勢,先於男子組抛離次席的香港培正中學40分奪魁,再在女子組以2分之差力壓英皇佐治五世學校掄元,成功在兩年內連跳兩級,歷史性奪得升班D1資格。另一邊廂,保良局蔡繼有學校的陳梓瑜分別以28秒44與30秒68的成績,打破女子 C Grade 50米蝶泳、背泳學界紀錄。
隨著時代的進步,世界體育水平的差距越來越小。加拿大學者Jean Côté 1 就運動發展路徑提出了一個發展模型(圖一)。其中提出,兒童體育發展應以多樣化參與、建立不同運動知識和能力為目標。同時亦建議,可以接納部分兒童在某一項運動上有專項發展。為不同參與運動的人留下空間去追尋各人能力所及,志向所願的夢。

在大力推動全民運動的同時,也有一批天賦出眾的精英兒童和青少年運動員 (Elite Child / Young Athlete),他們接受專業教練的專項訓練,投入早期的競賽環境中成長。這些精英運動員在社交、情感和身體發展上有著與大部分孩童不一樣的需求,他們需要適當的訓練、指導和比賽,確保既安全又健康的運動生涯,促進未來發展。若然就精英運動員的訓練安排,最好不過就是翻查國際奧林匹克委員會 (International Olympic Committee,IOC) 的共識聲明 (consensus statement)。早於2008 2及2015 3年,IOC 就兒童及青少年精英運動員的發展定下了共識聲明。
